God I want to smash Farridge in the face. I'm waiting to see what Starmer does with him, in the Machievellian way, to keep him close. Perhaps 'Minister in charge of nationalising the utilities companies and hence ridding them of all foreign ownership', so that he can find a useful outlet for his xenophobia? I write from a constituency in which a minister expected re-election, but is not seeking a new career opportunity.

Starmer should be pleased with Farridge. Farridge cost the Tories several seats which then fell to Labor.

God I want to smash Farridge in the face. I have a strong urge to embed the business end of a Warhammer in that round object on top of his neck.

God I want to smash Farridge in the face. Just Google his plane crash photos and imagine you did it. That was a missed opportunity and a half.

Just back from Curry Night at Wetherspoons, where the political debate was as incisive as might be expected. TV on but with no sound: a guy points at the screen and bellows to his mates: "Penny Mordaunt, would you or wouldn't you?" Quite put me off my beef madras. And what was the answer. Would you? As the old saying goes, not even with yours.

I'm hoping that the good people of Clacton form an orderly queue to raise local issues with him, such as why hasn't my bin been emptied. Teach him the reality of being a constituency MP rather than just being able to shout about a solitary policy from the comfort of being a loser. I reckon he's about to learn how insignificant he truly is.

Exactly, imagine he gets his way and kicks out all the immigrants, then what? What's his plan after that? Running a country requires more than just one idea, Boris discovered that, as did Truss and Suna, although I'm not sure Sunak had even one idea.

Refuge collection is in the hands of the local council not the MP, and collections here do happen as scheduled (every two weeks for any particular type - there is a collection every week but sometimes green recycling only, other times red recycling & rubbish) I will of course be pestering him as much as possible.

Not a fan of Ian Murray. Quite apart from being a unionist he has always struck me as being thick and boring. However, not only did he increase his share of the vote but he scored 53%+ of votes cast so fair do,s to the man.
