What else is being hidden from us by members of the other parties? I don’t believe that every MP or candidate is unsullied but I really hope that the vast majority are. Well Lee Akehurst (for one) is vile, but Kid Starver won't do anything as he's an ally.

SWMBO is fixated on the election and loves watching everything election related on TV. As a result, I was forced to watch the Leaders' Question Time performances last night. What a shower!!
SNP - Getting more than 29 seats is a green light for another independence referendum. BTW getting fewer than 29 seats is also a green light for a referendum. LibDems - We can say what we like because we won't win. The Tories bullied us when we were in coalition. Labour. I said that Corbyn would be a great PM because I knew that we would lose. Otherwise I'm saying nothing at all. I'll dodge every question in case my answer comes back to bite me. Tory Everything is going right even though the numbers might not say so. I won't sack the gamblers until there's nailed on proof that they have broken the rules - even though placing the bets in the first place was a grievous error of judgement.
As I've previously said - a plague on all their houses.
Mick

Then Sunak did his 'trust me I'm of immigrant stock' line and started banging on about this country had given him amazing opportunities...yes. Not necessarily ethical ones sunshine.

They all remind me of the enormous nurse/adviser in the eating/diet clinic (next to my podiatry one). Talk the talk, but no walk the walk. I despair. No idea who to vote for, if I even do.

Oh, and while I'm banging my drum...if he said 'people who are working hard...' any more I was going to reach into the TV and punch him. People are working hard and still not being able to afford to live. He can't really blame anyone but the Tories for that.

To paraphrase Sir Winston he once said that "democracy was the worst form of government in the world bar all the others"... I can't help wondering if he'd feel quite the same today...

No, sadly I don't think they'd do any better either. Starmer basically said as much - not being willing to put any concrete plans/strategies/benchmarks on the tables makes it easy to say 'we're doing a good job' because nobody will actually know what the job was that they thought they were doing.

The job is carrying on the status quo but with different staff in government. That's all.

The SNP are also in trouble for putting stamps on envelopes.

The SNP are also in trouble for putting stamps on envelopes. Someone who appears to work for the MP says they will get reimbursed. Hopefully out of party funds rather expenses but that wasn't specified.

The SNP are also in trouble for putting stamps on envelopes. Currently - allegedly - unless Andy has some hard evidence rather than rumour.

Whilst I might enjoy seeing the party getting trashed I think Owen is a decent and honest guy. What I disagree with them on is creating a trade barrier with our biggest trading partner will be good for the economy and the plan to get rich off hydrogen any time soon is just laughable.

Pretty much what I have against Westminster and why I rejoined the SNP after a 43 year gap.

Pretty much what I have against Westminster and why I rejoined the SNP after a 43 year gap. I have that against Westminster too but whether I like it or not it's a problem for trade. Pretending Scotland can trade freely with the rest of Great Britain and rejoin the EU doesn't sound realistic to me...I suspect negotiations will go about as well as they did for Theresa May.
