Lies, damned lies and statistics... and Bank of England inflation figures? Now look here, rampant inflation was absolutely nothing to do with this or any other conservative government, it was caused by Putin and Covid. Brexit and a former PM's slight misjudgement played absolutely no part. However the wonderful running of the economy by Mr Sunak and Mr Hunt (sp) has brought inflation down to the lowest level that anyone can ever remember. Just remember that on July 4th... |

I am wondering if you are having a joke or really mean that. Even as late as 2015 inflation was only 0.37%.
We hit 24% under Wilson's government in mid 70's.
