Will be black bean soup and bread. Edit: Well, that soup that my wife made was really nice. Apart from a few soups, I'm not a fan of the them as a meal(I'm neither a baby nor old enough where I need my food blending, lol) but I'd definitely have this again. Looks like I have some for my lunch. The reason my wife made soup was because she is in Harrogate all day for the charity. She made enough for last nights dinner and a pack up lunch for her to take. She left early this morning. I came down at 0730 and she has taken everything for her lunch except the soup which is in is flask on the kitchen worktop. She’s not best pleased!

I boiled a gammon ham joint this morning. Every time I do this, I tell myself not to wait so long before doing it again. It was delicious with a couple of hash browns and an egg. Tomorrow I'll slice it up when cold from the fridge. It was quite good to have a really cold day, sice I put the pot outside on the step to cool after boiling it. Could be pasta meals to come or maybe even a quiche.

After spending nearly 5 hours going to Harley Street and back I didn't get in until 9 so I ended up with Mexican style microwave rice topped with a tin of chili con carne, which was really quite nice with coarse ground black pepper and Langham's garlic and chili sauce mixed in to make it decently spicy- just what I needed as I was freezing!
Cherry yoghurt to follow

It was just a pot of chicken korma from the freezer and a naan. I had been at a village meeting during what would have been my dinner time, so just did something quick.

You've got me craving ramen now. 🤤 Of course. Whenever we have that type of soup, we just refer to it as a bowl of ramen. We use the Itsu broths for it.

Just got a chickpea curry on the go. Should last us a few days.
Red onion, 5 cloves of garlic minced, cinnamon stick, tablespoon of toasted cumin seeds and a couple of black cardamons, cooked in a bit of olive oil for 20
Then a tin of chopped toms (we use Mutti, decent quality and nice and thick) , some turmeric, a nice chunk of grated ginger, a couple of tins of chickpeas, and a couple of sliced chillies. Half a tin of water. After 30 mins simmering, stir in a chopped bunch of coriander. Simple but very nice. Probably add some garam masala at the end.

Piri-piri chicken breast fillet, chips and a tomato done in the oven using the Neff Circulair setting. The last of the Rioja from the paella is helping it down.

Paella with two soluble asprin for afters. Saving the cocodamol for a nightcap.
Sore shoulders and felling generally a bit off from the jabs.
