Don't think I've ever roasted chickpeas, only cooked on the hob/mixed in with wet ingredients. Sounds interesting. Would they be like dry roasted nuts? They can be roasted longer so they are a snack similar to nuts. I’ve not made them but have eaten them in Spain. I roasted them for 15 mins in the airfryer so they still retained some softness

Paella. Not my usual midweek dinner but I had run out of ideas, so just grabbed a pot from the freezer. Mint choc chip ice cream for pud.

Sweet 'n sour chicken and rice "ready meal", gave up on the chicken, what's left of my teeth couldn't hack it. I've just bought a mincer - arrived today, that might help alleviate the problem in future

The smoked haddock "soup" turned out with the addition of some more veggies to be a very thick stew, which with some nice crusty bread did me for dinner for 2 days
Tonight I was meeting some old friends in the "Goldengrove" our other local Spoons and it being curry night I went for the spinach and cauliflower Mangalorean (something like that anyway) curry with rice and a garlic naan, a veggie samosa and an onion bhaji all topped with a lot of mango chutney. Very nice couldn't taste the spinach much, which I am perfectly fine with a bit hotter than I usually have so vanilla ice cream to follow

I reckon salads are slimming due to the chewing and then then teeth clearing afterwards. Anyway, it was tasty and I'm full.

Ham and pickles with mashed spuds, would usually have with a jacket spud but that takes a bit longer, followed by raspberry trifle

Freezer lucky dip yielded beef burgers, so I had them with butter fried mushrooms and onions, cheese and mango chutney in a couple of crusty rolls
Lovely but very messy
Creme caramel to follow

Wiltshire cured ham, eggs and chips, complete with free vodka and lemonade. On top of several pints of Staropramen, before and after. Some of you will guess where I was.
