Colonoscopy successfully negotiated - nothing found. That's my last, too, unless there's a problem - they don't do screening procedures for those over 75.

Yesterday was from the freezer lucky dip, a couple of pork loin steaks coated with maple sauce, served on a bed of cheese and onion mashed spuds with sprouts coated with butter (the last of yet another bag in the freezer) followed by a couple of custard doughnuts
Tonight it was steak pie, mash and carrots, parsnips, mushrooms, peas and mange tout in the "Black Lion" where the chef has never heard the words "portion control"(as a friend of mine said when he first saw the smoked mackerel platter in there "I wasn't expecting Moby Dick on a tractor tyre") so no need for anything to follow ..quite possibly for the next day or so

I decided to make a rice pudding. Ended up spending an hour and a half clearing out the dry food shelves in the cupboard, disposing of the time expired items, washing everything, including the bin and floor which attracted spillage from the bag I was carrying to the outside recycling bin. I suppose I should feel virtuous now, but it did seem an excessive prep time before I eventually started the pudding.

Have you consumed the pudding yet or is it still growing a skin?

Will be a chippy tea tonight. Think I'll give the cod a go and see how I get on.

Another chicken dinner. This time back to lemon and rosemary. Having flirted with mint and basil (with a small b) I have come to the conclusion that rosemary is to good to save for lamb.
