Did a brunch at lunchtime eggs (at last I got some!), bacon, beans, mushrooms and toast so tonight I just put some Southern fried chicken goujons in the oven and served with sweet chilli sauce and followed with a pot of trifle

As posted on the other thread, I got an air fryer today so it had to be tested. I roasted some baby potatoes in one drawer and in the other some chicken thighs, covered with a harissa and honey sauce and cooked over a tin of chickpeas. They should have both cooked in 20 mins. The spuds were cooked but the chicken (on the bone) needed cooking longer despite the recipe saying 18-20 mins. It was a meal that was a bit of a weird combination but I wanted to try 2 different things. On the whole we were quite impressed.

Did the recipe also have the thighs on a bed of chickpeas?

We had a 50% off voucher for Harvester, so that was a half rotisserie chicken with dirty fries for lunch today. Not really hungry this evening so it was just a Belgian bun for supper.

Not hungry. There was pasta of some description but I'm just having a turmeric tea and a bath instead.

Couple of slices of toast did the job, seeing as lunch was after 4pm.

I have just been hugely spoilt by my neighbour's son. He visited the deli in town and came back with a large Mediterranean salad with loads of tasty additions, with salami, mozarella and a creamy pesto flavoured mayo. It will do me two days at least! Also a jar of a charred grilled pepper and tomato condiment - and Cannoli to follow. I'm a lucky lady!

Venison Stoo. Shallots, diced onions, sliced carrots, Red Wine (Pinotage - too good for cooking but Bambi deserves respect, and its what we had...)Tom. Puree, soy, dijon and Black pepper. With "new" potatoes and birds eye peas. Got a Spinal Tap rating from herself (11).
