Labour have selected Luke "the UN is anti-semitic" Akehurst as a candidate. Not holding my breath for any journalists to hold him to account for that.

Well I've found out who is standing here. Five of them and not one I can opt for with any confidence.

Here we go! The first flyer this morning and, as predicted, it's from the LibDems. Almost nothing about LibDem values or policy. The folded A3 is 90% how bad the Tories are and how it's impossible for Labour to win this constituency. What a choice I have !! Mick
PS I just noticed that he wants me to be able to see my GP within 7 days!!! I could be dead by then.
It really is insulting isn't it? They all have an empty purse for public services, though not for wars and their foreign owners of our industries and services. My lot are so stunned, I've received nothing so far and even if I do it will be recycle use only. AFAIK we don't have a Tory candidate yet. Our incumbent MP, as I've said a really good guy, stepped down unexpectedly and a replacement is pending! It ought to be a safe Tory seat, but the Lib Dems clearly see it as a target.

The beeb can slag off Labour on behalf of their masters, but no-one can can call him to account for that anti-UN comment. Let's face it, if you are a reasonable, rational compassionate person with a knowlede of the history of the area, you are, by definition, anti-semitic.

There has been quite a change in constituency boundaries locally. Our current MP is not standing (Craig McKinley who had sepsis and the amputations). No news of the replacement Tory candidate yet.
With the boundary change, the projections predict a 98% chance of a win for Labour.

The flyer was rapidly followed by something dressed up to look like a local newspaper - published by the Lib Dems according to the small print.
Page 1 celebrates their (undoubted) success in the locals. Page 2 introduces their councillors Page 3 is about their parliamentary candidate (no policies!!) Pagfe 4 is their mantra about ,"Labour Can't Win"
I promise no more!

I've just caught the tail end of RS speech to constituency(?) What a patronising condescending self-congratulatory attitude not just to the young but to us all. Just about to change channel. I've been out doing gardening and that was far more pleasant. Yes, extremely more pleasant.

It's getting a bit American. First bit of campaigning I saw was on YouTube, which was a doll of Starmer, targeting him and his policies. Bugger all about the parties or anything like that, just attack individuals. As it was on the same day as the announcement, it means the Tories must have spent a considerable amount of money of front-loading adverts everywhere.
I don't actually give a toss what they do as far as pulling each other's policies to bits, but the 'let's attack individuals' approach is something we could do without.

Do any of the parties have any policies, would they do anything differently, will they spend money wisely (not that many have in the past)? As far as I can see itâs a case of âsteady as she goesâ.

The third Lib Dem communication of today just arrived, addressed to my wife by name, saying that the Tories were flooding the place with paper !! and would she deliver some leaflets or make a donation.
Priceless.
