It took me until the following autumn (1977) to realise that the only (real) change that had taken place was yours truly
One of life's lessons, I guess.

Just a little bump to keep it on people's radar.

Just a little bump to keep it on people's radar. Thanks for the reminder Martin, the actual date kind of got lost in the cross talk somewhere on page two 7th of September is the day.
I am still up for it.

7 weeks to go. Hopefully the Fisherton Street roadworks will be finished. They're not going to affect access, but could spoil some photo opportunities.

Just over a month to go, so here's some details to help people plan there journeys. I'm proposing we meet at 11am at the steps of the guildhall adjacent to the marketplace. (thigh.parade.softly on What3words) Pretty much all buses drop off within a couple of minutes walk of the guildhall. Park & ride details here. If you're driving into the city I suggest either using the Central car park SP1 3SL, or Culver Street multistorey SP1 2BQ. Old George Mall multistorey is most convenient, but is expensive and will be busy. Nowhere is more than a 15 minute walk from the city centre. The railway station is a short walk from the city centre.

Just curious... did you deliberately choose a w3w that would make me smirk?

It was actually SWMBO who found out, she looked it up and didn't realise I'd said thigh singular.

Some more info for you. Salisbury has that rarest of beasts, an independent camera shop! Castle Cameras sits in the middle of Endless Street (I'll explain that on the day) about 100 metres from the guildhall. If you look on their website and see an item that pique's your interest, but is at the Bournemouth branch give them a call and they will transfer it to Salisbury with sufficient notice. I've planned a roughly circular route that's pretty much level and about 3 miles in total. Salisbury has many coffee shops, cafés, and pubs so we can take breaks along the way. There is a Shop mobility service if anyone less mobile wishes to join us. Whilst I intend to show you what Salisbury has to offer, it would be remiss not to spend some time at the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary with the big, pointy roof, and really interesting clock. They do charge a £10 admission to go inside, but there are free guided tours once you're in.
