Out of curiosity I asked Flickr what it thought by searching my photostream for "abstract", knowing that I've never taken an abstract picture and wouldn't know where to start. Flickr came up with 5. I can almost see why with this reflection shot - to me it is a nice reflection shot and landscape - not anything abstract but I suppose you could look at it and see a meaningless but not unpleasant pattern  DSCF3614.jpg by Pete, on Flickr Next it thought this was abstract. It really isn't. I think I took it because of the peeling paint and it is pretty much a one-off. The next two Flickr choices (a direction sign, a gravestone) aren't in any way or form abstract. The last one was an attempt at a long exposure time exposure and I suppose you could stretch the imagination and call it abstract. To me it is a long exposure of a water wheel notable because it was hand-held and looks like I'd expect a long exposure shot of running water to look like. Final Flickr "abstract" finding. Abstract of an answer I made to What is an Emotion? This was one assigment to write an essay on the topic on that Philosophy Hons course I did. Of all the courses I did for my degree, this one was my highest mark - and this particular question/answer got me my highest ever mark. Ha! 90%, from a very picky Greek tutor.
