I can't remember how long these will have been in our office desk for. Many years since I have recorded onto a DVD DVD+R by Nigel G, on Flickr

I didn't have much hope when I put "media" as a search term in my Flickr but ... Media city - Salford Quays. DSCF3584.jpg by Pete, on Flickr This was the only Flickr hit and you can just make out the BBC. I'll look in LR later.

It must have been a really dull day. With the help of Google Maps street-view and a while reprocessing in LR. The pictures date from January 2016. This is Media City footbridge. The BBC is to the right and towers over ITV to the left of the bridge. No markings in my photos for ITV though the BBC can just be made out. DSCF3587-Enhanced-NR.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

A peek into my old life. This was taken from a rooftop in Brighton when we went to cover the Labour Party conference in 2009. This was a rifle point and a lady from (ITV I think) did some news coverage from there. Brighton by Nigel G, on Flickr

Back up receiver when the power fails. Talking of which, my Sky box suddenly went off line at 6.45pm last night. I had a right old fiddle getting it back again. When it did, it was searching for my router. Very weird. ap batteries radio by Kate Ferris, on Flickr

Canon's battery powered portable printer, an odd attempt to rival the Fuji Instax in the hearts of the youth of 2010? Selphy Pictures. by Keith Hudson, on Flickr Almost instant photography, but with less charm of the unknown. My impressions were that it was fun to play with for an afternoon but not something I wanted to own.

Thanks to Keith for the idea. This (the CN Tower, Toronto) was built as a broadcasting tower. It was the tallest tower in the world in its time and is still ranked number 10. IMG_0028.jpg by Pete, on Flickr Edit: from another angle - amazing how a Powershot G10 image from 2009 will clean up. Should have re-done the other one.
