Starting to blow a bit of a hoolie though I doubt if Kate would be impressed. If not for the intermittent heavy showers it'd be great drying weather. Btw Pentlands cannot currently be seen from Calton Hill. Brave yersel Willie!

A bit odd here. Supposed to be high winds even this far South, in practice while there was a fair bit of rain there was nothing out of the ordinary wind- wise except for about 10 minutes where a savage westerly hurled sheets of rain sideways past the windows. Very odd!

It has been rather strange here. It was windy to the south of the islands but not so bad here. Gusted to 63mph at one point, but I reckon the centre of the low is going right over Stornoway at the moment. Guess that means the wind will shift ro the north soon - my most protected direction. Ha! Fingers crossed we've got through it this time. I never scoff when others think they've got high winds and stormy weather. It's all a matter of what you're used to.

Getting a bit peed off with our weather. It’s not wet or cold, in fact quite mild, but for about a week, it’s been grey and murky with no sign of the sun.

It's Pantone gray1720! Sorry, couldn't resist...
I've got a roll of B&W in a camera... I want some decent light so I can (a)play with said camera and (b)get Caffenol right.
If (b) fails, I've just had 500mls of Bellini's Rodinalalike delivered, mind.

Got to shop. Hope I don't either shrink or drown in this awful weather. Grey, damp, not really cold just miserable.
