Have you ever seen the wind? Despite Donovan's good advice I did once try to catch it... We used to have people in Nottinghamshire that did tricks like that Gotham

Frosty roofs all around but the grass is clear.

A cold 4 degC, no wind, sun struggling with high cloud. Hope it warms up soon.

I think that means they've fixed the issue, predicted wind speed here has dropped by 6140 mph in the last couple of hours Not according to the Beeb, still over 7,000 mph according to them. The Beeb had mine updated correctly when I posted, maybe you had a incorrect copy in cache, or perhaps it took them a while to spread the fix around?

I do not keep the Beeb's weather page open, I would have accessed it from a news page so no idea what happened.

I do not keep the Beeb's weather page open, I would have accessed it from a news page so no idea what happened. I can shut down my PC and then after I restart it if I return to a recent page it's often uploaded the old view from cache, unless I click on the button to reload the page. Needless to say this rarely works if I need it to! This behavior may just be due to me using an old system designed when internet speeds were slower.

I'm seeing amber weather warnings for the Western Isles. Stay safe kate thinking of you.

A rather pleasant day here. Sunny and light winds means it feels warmer than the 16C showing on the thermometer.

I'm seeing amber weather warnings for the Western Isles. Stay safe kate thinking of you. Thank you. In the main it is for Sunday, although today the wind has caused disruption, closing a causeway and the only road to the area to the East of Stornoway (where I used to live). Of course the moon is full and tides and swell a bit large. Just hope my trees stay put on Sunday.

Starting to blow a bit of a hoolie though I doubt if Kate would be impressed.
