I have a nasty feeling about tonight's storm passing over us. It has started to wind up now. Thermos filled. Phone charged, kindle the same. I'm not usually feeling so apprehensive, but for some reason tonight is different. When it comes to the weather, trust your instincts - they are older than you are! |

Right now the god's are angry - really, really peed off and chucking thunderbolts everywhere. I'm glad I went out early and topped off my kerosene supply for the weekend, because they've apparently also decided they should drown all us folks down here on the ground. Mind you, I'm not so sure that's a bad idea, looking at what we're doing to their lovely planet.  |

A sharp frost overnight, and now a sunny day with no wind. We haven’t had any rain now for a week or two either. Still blooming chilly though. No rain since I emptied the water butts into the pond, at least three weeks ago. Meanwhile Kate has it going past her lugs horizontally. Imagine how the weather might vary in a big country! |

I just collected the blue bin (now emptied by the binmen), got to the top of my steps and went horizontally across a small lawn beside the path. Fortunately kept to my feet! The old heart was thumping though. |

Auckland is being hit by yet another deep tropical depression - this time there could be gale force winds to go with the torrential rain. Reports suggest it's been pretty bad there again? Been nice here...frosty starts and then winter sun. Attachment Deleted |
