It's a beautiful blue sky morning here but still snow and ice. I may wait until the afternoon before going shopping, hopefully it will have warmed up a bit.

Thought it was getting warmer but must be the wine. Back to 1 degC. It was still icy in patches when I went to the Co-op. I picked my way there and back carefully.

The car showed a scorching 7℃ earlier on. Forecast high for tomorrow is 13℃.

Amazon have quite a selection, 3 and 4 wheelers. I've been using one for over 12 years, now I even have to use it indoors. Not only a walking aid, a seat for having a rest on a longer walk, or for parking the shopping on, or you can get a basket to hang on for carrying more. Attachment on the side takes a brolly or walking stick. I got mine originally for going to folk festivals often long walk from a car park, camera bags hung on the backrest, monopod in the brolly attachment. Now as stated I have to use it around the flat instead of "furniture surfing" (as the health visitor called it after one of my falls) there are times when the next hand hold is more than a step or two away. Even so there are a few limitations, there is not always sufficient width clearance e.g. between the foot of the bed and the wall, or between table and kitchen units

Met office has a yellow warning for wind and rain here for tomorrow and Sunday as Storm Bert arrives.

A little bit of snow on the ground still but now raining. Should have been on a 10 mile walk today in the hills up to the B29 bomber crash site on Bleaklow with my walking group. Surprise, surprise, it’s been cancelled, although TBF, I was looking at the weather yesterday and decided I wasn’t going to do it. Can at least finish my decorating instead.
