Definitely a bit of a shock to the system. Since I moved here 6 years ago I've not had real snow, beyond a light dusting, and certainly not this early.
Dug out a chunky jumper and a long winter skirt. With a duff thumb in a brace and a duff knee in a support, trousers are sub optimal.

The only times I recall deep snow (2'+) twice in Dorset 1949 & 1978/9. We usually get a light dusting in February

I'm a little bit worried about tomorrow. I need to go shopping but with Storm Bert incoming I can't leave it until the weekend. However the weather forecast suggests that the roads will still be icy. I guess I will just have to stuck it up and be careful.
