While my Garmin watch charges from the USB port - another view of the Parisian model boating lake taken in 2011. I don't think either of these pictures has seen the light of day before. I must have been dead on my feet with the heat - lots of really "off" pics from the day as if the camera had become too heavy.  IMG_0220.jpg by Pete, on Flickr I'm sure that there was a model boating lake in the park where I lived (Watford, ages 7- 11) and there was one in Southampton when I was at University there but I can't think of any others that I have seen. |

I am sure the model boat pond at the Horniman was still in use in the late 1990's when we moved to this area but it had been drained by the time my children were old enough for to appreciate it. There are plans to re furbish that part of the gardens which may see it's return, I do hope so. |
