Yep.  I've been doing physio to help my joint mobility and make it easier to do my rehab = walking.   I must admit that I am not very sprightly.  There is no way I could get into the position Kath must have been in to take the sawfly picture.

I must admit that I have enjoyed this. Normally I would only take pictures away from home but the macro anonymises the location. I just put the camera on /200s, F22 and ISO 100 and the background goes [mostly] black. I've mainly used flash as fill-in and although I bought this ring flash s/h on a whim (you don't often see them for sale in our LCE) several years ago, I think this is the first time I've seen the benefit

Tufted Vetch

These buds are very small.  The flowers are grow much larger and they change colour.  The full flowers are blue and bell shaped.  The packet of sweet pea seeds was contaminated with this but they do grow well together.

Hydrangea.  Not all the "buds" in the middle will develop into flowers I am told, but some will.

The Hydrangea "flower petals" are actully bracts -a form of leaf, the flower is the litle bit in the middle
