I've rarely seen any movement from the fishing boats on Aldeburgh beach, but they do still fishing which is good enough for me to include this shot. Aldburgh beach by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr

This was quite pretty. I've no idea what it is despite spending a while with the flower books. DSCF4829.jpg by Pete, on Flickr It could be Pignut as it looks quite small. Equally it could be Hemlock. One of the carrot family anyway. Pignut has a small edible tuber at the base of its root. You really need to see the leaves to tell which of the various types it is.

Not quite on theme but I always smile when I see this - it is joyful. 274A1728.jpg by Pete, on Flickr Edit: I was looking to see if I had anything else keyworded fishing and found an unused version of this which, with a couple of adjustments I prefer, even if the fish is not clear in it. 274A1734.jpg by Pete, on Flickr Perfectly interpreted the theme I think.
Edit: I like the second one, it is obvious what the sculpture is doing and I think that is a better angle to make it stand out against the distant hill.

230526-Learning-To-Fish-2 by Kath Polley, on Flickr Thought this was taken more recently than May. Weeks just flying by! One had never fished before. He was with two friends who were trying to teach him but he admitted to me that he didn't think he'd ever 'get it'. They'd never been to Helensburgh before but they got a cracking day for a first visit. Hope they enjoyed themselves.

Nice one Kath , I usually think of fishing as a solo activity, clearly not here though. Good bit of local documentary.
