As if by magic, more bindweed. Taken in Hampstead three weeks ago and edited today. Hampstead L1000268edit14july by Keith Hudson, on Flickr The ancient Canon 35mm f/2 LTM lens used wide open did not do too well with the bright flowers. Still it is a look I suppose. Indeed, it looks like it could have been taken anytime in the last hundred years, very much a timeless picture... I have the matching Canon 50mm f/1.4 LTM which behaves in a similar manor, soft and dreamy wide open but sharp as anything from Leica (1960's) when stopped down to f/2 - F/2.8 and much smaller than any Cron. Both nice lenses to play with.

230708-JBPW-Drumhead-Loop-Sweet-Cicely-005 by Kath Polley, on Flickr Sweet Cicely. You can eat the seeds and they taste of aniseed. Just make sure it is Sweet Cicely and not Hemlock Water Dropwort because one tastes of childhood sweets and the other will kill you. (SC has white patches on the leaves that you can see in this photo. The deadly one does not.)

This was quite pretty. I've no idea what it is despite spending a while with the flower books. DSCF4829.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

This was quite a jungle, pretty blue and red flowers don't show as well in the photo as to the eye, I guess that is selective vision because I keep finding that the garden pictures don't match what I remember. The 100% view on the original photo shows how densely packed the plants are, thistles pervading all. DSCF4836.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

Not quite on theme but I always smile when I see this - it is joyful. 274A1728.jpg by Pete, on Flickr Edit: I was looking to see if I had anything else keyworded fishing and found an unused version of this which, with a couple of adjustments I prefer, even if the fish is not clear in it. 274A1734.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

I foolishly used on of my fish shots under 'yellow' recently rather than repost it so soon I'll drag out another: IMGP9809 by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr

Mike made me realise that I do have some aquarium photos - bit limited as a F1.4 lens would be an improvement on F5.6 DSCF2947.jpg by Pete, on Flickr This is a piranha. Edit: I found a better one that I had not put on Flickr - it was a family day out so the original pic was aimed at reminding the grandchildren. This is better I think. Processed now. It is away from the glass and lights. Blue Planet Aquarium, Ellesmere Port. DSCF2934.jpg by Pete, on Flickr
