Virtual jukebox...White Lines...an extended mix Just listening to it now. So many memories of dancing to that in The State nightclub in Liverpool back in the day, all the bodies separated by lasers and dry ice.

BBC prom from 15th August. American Night - almost Jazz night.
It has the strangest arrangement of 'Mood Indigo' that I've ever heard. That tune is one of my favourites so I know it well. I may not have recognized it from this performance had the programme not told me!

A group text I just received had a line of text in it, that reminded me of this song that I've not heard in quite a while.

Wanting something to sooth my soul, I considered a bit of Hildegard von Bingen, JSB at his finest or maybe a couple of Chopin Etudes.
Then I thought, naah...

The intro to that, which is repeated throughout the song really reminds me of something else but I can't put my finger on what it is. At first I thought it may have been a Stranglers song, but I don't think so now.

A track I really love is "Song to the siren" by This Mortal Coil. Yesterday my wife was watching New Amsterdam on TV and I heard this version. This and This Mortal Coil's (the best one) are better than the original IMO.

And talking of This Mortal Coil, they have done a good version of Another Day, although I probably prefer this one by Roy Harper.
Although This Mortal Coils version is a bit more haunting.
And Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel also did a good version.

Not heard that before (i don't think). Another song I love by them is holocaust. I'd not heard the original until I got sucked into the YouTube hole.

Some SE Asian cacophonous row. I don't want to listen, but D-In-law has it on while she does the prep for a 'special' dinner that she's promised.
As she's a truly wonderful cook, I'm not going to complain.
