Fillet steak, medium rare, for me, sirloin, tragically well done for the wife. Roast chicory, chips, and a spinach and pecan salad. Washed down with a bottle of Imperial stout and followed by mint choc chip ice cream.

Pan fried salmon tail fillet and chips, something fairly light before the Christmas blow-out

Pork joint in the slow cooker with stock and onions. Not hungry after yesterday so haven't decided whether to have it hot later today with broccoli or cold this evening with pickles and stuff. Decisions, decisions ....

Yesterday's beef, cold with chips and garlic mushrooms, followed by christmas pud and rum sauce. I have to say that even cold the beef was superb. Thought the Madeira I had with the pud tasted a bit odd, turned out to be dry Oloroso sherry, grabbed the first bottle and didn't check the label. D'oh.

Tonight will be the 3rd night of the Christmas day lamb roast. I'll be glad to see the back of it.

Not dinner, but my traditional post-christmas breakfast of left over trifle.

I just had a look at the last of the cold beef, and I think it's too much for a lunch so may have it for dinner. Not sure what to have with it, maybe roasted veg.

Last night we shared, a veggie pizza from the freezer, a sainsbury's fishcake with creamy sauce from the freezer and a small can of baked beans. Worked surprisingly well. Tonight lamb and leek from the fridge with noodles from the store cupboard and the usual gubbins.

Last night it was piri-piri grilled chicken breast with roasted veg.
I didn't like the look of the cold beef, so had a venison curry.
