Today I did a huge breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, mushrooms and beans then had a massive jacket potato with cheese and onion for lunch so tonight I am just having a cheese sandwich and a bowl of cereal

Had some pork, veg, apples and cider in the slow cooker for an hour and a half. By dinnertime it should be fantastic.

Today I managed to switch on both slow cookers so we will see what the other half of the seriously fatty pork shoulder is like cooked as intended. When looking for recipes to rescue the meal when I ommitted to switch on the slow cooker with the pork shoulder I found one which basically said add wine and some flavourings and use "Juice" as a sauce. The "Juice" that comes out of shoulder pork is fat, pure and simple. Hence, for anyone who did not infest the old lounge (wellcome), my putting the onions, mushrooms chorizo and dijon in a separate small slow cooker. Edit - Thanks for the idea Zou I have just added some bramley apple slices from the freezer to slow cooker no. 2.

Going to go and get some fresh bread for sandwiches tonight. We had a late lunch in a German owned bar down near the beach. I had Hawaiian schnitzel and thought of Martin whilst eating it (cheese and pineapple on top). Not hungry enough for a proper meal.

I'm going to do a chicken tikka (sauce out of a jar), rice and garlic naan. More interesting was lunch today. They were talking about it on the wireless the other day, so I had to try it...a Pot noodle sandwich. I made it a bit gourmet though, with 2 slices of buttered sesame bloomer and a teriyaki cup noodle from the Asian supermarket. Seriously, give it a try.

Only if you don't strain them well enough. Top tip was to add slightly less water than normal.
