There's an odd combo for you! I've just picked up a Rajar box camera for the princely sum of a fiver, and it's hardly been used. The likely reason for that is that APeM, the manufacturers, made it to take their own film, the same size but with a different winder fitting to standard 120. See 'ere: flic.kr/p/52f3RADo any of the collectors have a Rajar camera with a spool in (mine had none) that they would sacrifice to let me use my new toy? Or does anyone with a 3d printer fancy a go at knocking something up? Thanks!

Looking at the picture of a home-made adapter on Art Deco Cameras (the only place I can ever remember hearing about Rajar cameras), I wonder if you could knock something up with Sugru that might do the job? www.artdecocameras.com/cameras/rajar/no.6/

The adapter looks relatively simple, it should be possible with a little ingenuity to make something from the kind of bits many have lying about in odds and ends boxes.

I'll measure up ASAP, if you are v happy to do that, thank you!
No, the AW adapters are a different beast, the Rajar spool has a square hole in the end rather than a slot, so needs a square-to-slot adapter to use 120 film, the AW ones are slot to slot to allow a narrower spool to be used than the original film format. Impressed that they are supplying them, though.

You misunderstood. Our esteemed colleague would be well placed to [redacted] Mr Sunak.

He knows how much acid I can lay my (gloved) hands on. I suspect Sunak and his chums have been on acid for years. At least it would be an excuse for them.

Well last night I was browsing the tat site before going to bed, and lo and behold, there was a Rajar No 6 not attracting any love, so I put a bid of a tenner on and forgot about it. And of course, I've won it. Now it's not in perfect nick, needs a good clean and some de-rusting, but it does apparently work, and interestingly "There may be film on the spool" - which I'm hoping at least means that there IS a take-up spool. So I may be able to assist in this project after all, and I do like the look of the camera anyway.
