Oh dear, I am a bad influence, aren't I? Someone on Flickr, or was it ebay, has a Rajar ad in Italian, with a film pack pictured alongside a folder with a rather elegant stand, which is interesting, they obviously planned big. By strange coincidence there is a company called APEM in the block of buildings I work in. www.apemltd.com/

However, there is a bag, and also a directory of Rajar No 6 film retailers, which is very nice. Any of them still got stock?

Any of them still got stock? If I can find one that still exists, I'll find out... The one I found on a quick scout through that might still exist is Youngs of Leicester, but it didn't look very open when I walked past it a few weeks ago on a Saturday. None in my town, and the ones in the next door town are all very unfamiliar names. Surprising after knocking on for a century...

Shop is still there, and from the other side of the road, looks like it could still be open - except it wasn't. Leicester has changed an awful lot in the last decade, surprised that hasn't. I used to use Jacobs and Jessops in Leicester back in the day, bought a lot from them, but never made it to Youngs.

But it's a pleasant place to wander now.

Not often luck has gone my way with cameras lately, but I think this counts. The Rajar went to Holland with me, and took 8 shots in Nijmegen. On opening it, I discovered that the adapter in the take-up spool had sheared... but after the final pic, while I was winding the film off! Most times, the bloody things jam when I am half way through a roll.

That will give it more strength - something we probably should've thought of but this was an experiment

Use the printed part to sand cast a metal part?
Seems to be how they make some parts for ancient cars...scan, print then cast.

What should be on page 52 of the latest AP but a Rajar No6! The folder this time, we could have helped Tony if only we'd known!
Coincidentally, I bought one on ebay the other day. It looked in nice nick, and came with a spool, so it would have been rude not to.

Apologies - got your email but went in for surgery that day and totally forgot about replying!
