4 tits of some sort have hit my patio doors in the last 20 mins or so. One of them was sat on the patio with a damaged wing, it keeps trying to fly but one wing doesn't fully seem to extend and it moves in a circle. Poor thing. Went outside to have a look and managed to pick it up. It rested for about 10 mins on my hand then flew off. Heard another greater spotted woodpecker nest today... Was too close for the adults to stop at the nest though. Got a squawk and a fly through...  |

That's late, maybe they have a second brood, I must look it up. I stopped monitoring the nest I had found because I assumed the chicks had fledged. The adults were about, there was a lot of noise but they weren't visiting the nest hole in the way they had been. If there are two broods normally then I'll check it again. |
