Not my shot but I wonder if folks here can identify it... The photographer knows what it is. Attachment Deleted

From its general shape it looks like some kind of Tern...

White-tailed tropicbird - apart from the red beak, so not sure.

It's like a war zone out there today. It started with the ravens doing aerobatics to piss the crows off. Numerical superiority trumps brawn and the crows won. The ravens weren't happy so took it out on the red kite. This attracted a couple of buzzards much to the crows displeasure.

Ah, was looking for this thread the other day and decided I was mis-remembering. I normally ignore Canada geese as being a bit 'easy' but there wasn't an awful lot about last weekend when we had a short walk alongside Ellesmere. Disappointing pics really of these Great Crested Grebes. They were a bit far away and pootling about under cover of a weeping willow. DSCF1616.jpg by Pete, on Flickr not really got the hang of the AF on the Fuji. The very clever autodetect on birds (body => head => eye) really doesn't like anything that is not in profile. Messing around with a new toy. Boring gull shot but this would ordinarily be out of reach hand-held 1/120 s effective focal length 900 mm mild crop in post. DSCF3124.jpg by Pete, on Flickr
