I was managing a hotel and trying to solve a murder that had occurred, For some reason I was trying to do this in French but (as in real life) I'd forgotten a lot of the language through lack of use so all I could do was wander the hotel poolside and ask everyone repeatedly 'Avez-vous vu quelqu'homme qui fait quelque chose plusieur fois et chaque fois qu'il fait le chose, quelqu'un autre et mort?' and none of the people I asked spoke at all and just shook their heads at me.

Pffffft!  Yes, I think the reaction to my efforts were along the same lines as the reactions to her, erm, attempts!

Dreamed I missed out on a really lucrative job because I assumed the emails from a company called Grace and Glory were spam. In the dream they'd contacted me by phone and I'd agreed a price to do the work - photographing jewellery and bedding. They then said they would email me the products to photograph (which in itself doesn't make sense) but when the emails came they were drawings so I got back in touch to say that wasn't going to work and then forgot all about them. For ages I heard nothing and I'd totally forgotten they existed when I started to see loads of emails from Grace And Glory so I dumped them all in the virtual bin becasue they seemed to be selling me stuff. It turned otu they were emailing me the products and I was ignoring them. They went on soical media to say how rubbish I was at getting back to people and my reputation was in tatters.



Edited to add:  I just thought to check.  I HAVE been receiving spamloads of emails from a company called Grace & Glory!  None of them offering me work though.  Oh well.  At least they're not out there bad-mouthing me!

In the wee small hours this morning I dreamt that I had a Ricoh GRiii. Odd, because I'd much rather a GRiiix but in the dream I was delighted with it, slipping it in and out of a pocket getting some great snaps. In a particularly realistic moment I realised the battery life was terrible and started to worry that I didn't have a spare with me!

Odd. I was just thinking that I haven't had a totally mad dream in a while and last night had one. I was running away from someone who was on the street below me. I was navigating the shelves that stick out of the front of all the houses just above the rooflines. I'd come to the end of a row of houses though and there was no way down unless I used the chimney pots as steps but they weren't very stable. I was making so much noise the family all came out of the house to see what all the ruckus was but they were looking down, not up so I got away with it. The person who'd been chasing me had disappeared now and while all these people were searching for a mouse in the undergrowth I nipped in and made grass sandwiches to take away.

I have never in my life had a hash brownie.  Nor, for that matter, a grass sandwich.  (I'm not a complete paragon of virtue, obviously.  I mean, I have 'lived'.  Something my children seem to forget.)

Research suggests that weed stops folk dreaming; summat to do with less time in REM sleep allegedly.

After 25 years or so on it and a few months off it there's definitely something in that research but I'm not sure I agree with the conclusion as now dreaming has returned I don't feel as well rested after dreams. Dreams don't feel like proper sleep to me now.

Ps. Not given it up, just refusing to entertain cheeky wee bastard prices at the moment.

I was engaged in some task or other, the details now are vague, but I think it was something like cake-decorating or painting a room...and I kept insisting that the only thing missing was a Fosbury flop. I know. It makes no sense at all. It made so little sense that when I inevitably woke up at 5am I lay there worrying about how little sense it made until I drifted back to sleep again, whereupon in my dream it became evident that not just any Fosbury flop was required, but a purple one.

I had a strange dream the other night Kath I was in your flat and for some reason your hubby was leaning down to the floor and cupboards, looking for something for me. He was wearing a mid grey fleece top and jogging bottoms and as he bent over, I smacked him on the bum which was peeking over the top. Then I woke up! Goodness knows what that was all about. Ha!
