One thread I'll be sorry to lose from the old forum is the Odd Dreams thread.  I never wrote them down anywhere else (well, except one) and I do find it amusing to re-read them occasionally.

Last night's was a bit nuts which is what reminded me of the thread on AP so here for your reading pleasure:

I was searching in my bookshelves for something and found a stash of envelopes. Most of them were stuck down closed so firmly that I couldn't open them even with scissors but one just shredded itself in my hands and all the little coloured bits of paper inside fell out onto my feet.  One got stuck between my big toes and when I bent to retrieve it, wings sprouted from the the rear of it and it started to fly away - but not before I saw something had been written in my aunt's very distinctive handwriting on the front.  I made to run after it but it disappeared into a toilet stall in a nightclub.  All the toilets were blocked and overflowing and the walls of the cubicles only went up to half height so if you could have found a clean one you'd have had to sit looking at everyone else also in their half-open cubicles.  

At this point I woke up.  Needing a pee.

Monday night I dreamt the window cleaners came round...yesterday there they were ...and no they don't have a regular calling pattern.

I dreamt Kath was hanging out weird net curtains after washing them. They were fishnet black. I did express surprise and said aren't they a bit dark for the windows? No, she said, as if I was daft. They'll be a lot lighter once they are dry.
At which point the dream ended.

Excellent!  Although I'm sure I'd never use that tone of voice with you!

I dreamed that my friend Lucy had a son called Ryan (she doesn't) who attended a local private school that he cycled to each day. It was very, very posh and her son spoke like someone from the upper echelons of society even though the rest of the family didn't.    I went to her house and as Ryan was leaving on his bike he threw me a book with a very nostalgic (to me) cover.  It was a children's book but in the text, every time the word 'and' appeared, it said 'ass' instead.  Ryan was sniggering about it but I told him that it wasn't all that rude because 'ass' was a kind of serpent and not 'arse' at all.  In the dream I knew that 'ass' didn't mean serpent but every time I tried to correct myself it came out as 'serpent' instead of what I really meant.  I was telling myself that it was okay and I'd be able to say the thing I meant when I woke up and really believed that this would make me wake up so that I could communicate properly again but the dream refused to end.

I have been very dreamy of late, although I have remembered very few. Yesterday I woke up around 5am after having an argument with my wife in a dream. I was putting cat food away in a cupboard in a Tetris sort of way which my wife liked but got cross with me because I started to remove them. I explained it was because it wasn't a cupboard but the dishwasher. I then went into the garage (which we don't actually have) and put them on a shelf of an Ikea Billy bookcase. I showed my wife but she made me remove them as we were giving the shelf away to our friends Sue and Peter who live in Kent and we were going to drive it down to them now. We started arguing because I wanted to keep the shelf but my wife insisted we give it to them and we could just buy a new one. I woke up mid argument so I have no idea who won!

I woke up again at 5 am this morning but my dream had taken me to a dark place, so I was glad I woke up.

I find it quite hard not to be in a bad mood with my other half if I've dreamed we've argued. I do explain that I know it's not rational and give him as wide a berth as possible until I've recalibrated myself!

I had several dreams last night and correspondingly woke up several times too. After one, I remember thinking that it would be good if I could remember that dream because it had some amusing elements but now I can't recall any of it.

Again, I was very dreamy last night but can't remember them. The only one thing I can remember is a blue pair of mens underpants featured somewhere. That is quite disturbing.

I'm just thankful I haven't had a run of my horror dreams, where they are full of dark staircases that don't seem to go anywhere, or desperate to get home, but there's no money in my purse and no car to hop into. The cage lifts and walkways also seem a thing of the past.
Mind you, my life is so dull, I do find myself dreaming bits of the book I'm reading!

Oh my! A night of a mixture of emotions. Firstly I was young again and having a torrid time in the back of a camper van with my old London boss, the only thing was, there was an audience. Didn't bother me though. Then I needed to go to the loo and found myself in a warehouse with half walled cubicles and men around. The receptionist from outpatients told me of one with a door and I went in. It had a red bolt which has nowhere to secure it. Then as I sat, the walls seemed to disappear.
Fortunately I then woke up!
All very weird.

I had the 'room I'd forgotten we had' dream again last night. The house and the room vary in their particulars but generally I stumble upon a 'wing' that I've been meaning to decorate but not got round to and I've left it so long that its existence is a bit of a shock. In this version there was peeling yellow wallpaper on the walls, everything was a bit damp and the beds were sagging but you could tell that it would make a great annexe once you knocked some windows out of the walls so that you could see the jungle on the other side.

I've had two dreams now that were set in the near future in which King Charles was referred to as the Six Month King.

His reign only lasted six months after his coronation, I don't know if he died or stepped down.

I was on a panel show with Josh Widdicombe rifling through my wardrobe looking for a particular shirt, singing Don’t Pay The Ferryman while confidently talking about an obscure Italian racing car which looked like a salad spinner on wheels. In the dream it was one I knew I’d dreamed about before and I googled it so everyone could see a picture. All the panellists were showing how they would vote in the upcoming election by holding up coloured objects to reflect their political leanings. Josh held up some bits of wood but he’d also dyed his hair a very pale blue. I remember thinking the most surprising people were Tories. When it was my turn I couldn’t think of an object to hold up so everyone started making jokes about rabbits.

I seem to have lots of dreams where I'm in the woods, trying to escape and find a way out.
