Rather erotic and disturbing dream last night featuring someone I never went out with at college in the 80s. Havne't told my husband. 50 Shades...? Well I'm not going into details on here but much better than 50 Shades!

I still seem to have dogs on the brain.
Last night we were staying in a house and had been making loads of preparations for some sort of large family event. There was a lot of shopping and cooking involved and everyone seemed very happy. Next thing I'm with friends and I mention that I'd love a dog. One of them shows me a photo of a dog that has just become available at a local rescue. It's very cute but they tell me that one's theirs but there is another one cally Lolly available that I could have. About six of us go to the rescue centre, taking a very odd train (it's a metal tube with wooden seats that can flip to change the direction they're facing and you have to wait fro the person in front to get out so you can flip their seat to make room for your exit. It packed in a lot of people this way). We walk from the train station to the rescue centre and I have to go through a lot of rooms full of cats, fish, children before we reach a desk so that I can enquire about Lolly. Someone brings me out a really cute dog and tells me this isn't Lolly and I can't have her but Lolly will be along in a minute. Lolly turns out to be a this weird dog that looks like a cross between a corgi and a pig. She has the soppiest eyes but is almost rectangular. I find myself falling in love with her but at the same time being a bit repelled by her appearance so I start calling her Lollipop instead of Lolly and that seems to make her less odd. I call my husband to tell him that we've found a dog and he's not very happy about it but he gives in when I tell him that she'll eat the cat's food. I'm then handed about seven or eight huge bags with feeding schedules, medical information and prescriptions for Lollipop. Every time I htink this is all a dreadful mistake, Lollipop looks at me with these big eyes and I can't say no. I have to sign the paper work and the lady from the desk tells me we have to drive to Sheffield. She asks me to look after her daughter while she gets the car and the child seems sad so I ask what's wrong. She tells me she'll never see the mountain and I seem to feel this explains everything. I buy her a shell as compensation. When her mother comes back I ask how Lollipop came to be at the shelter and she tells me she was living with a bunch of goths in a church but when they were moved on nobody would take her. She handed me a plastic bag full of little tickets. Thousands of them. They were all like little affirmation notes except a lot of them were very rude about the dog. Lollipop is now blue with curly hair and a bow. She has a fuzzy lead that I don't like holding.

I was in a big glass building when alarms starting going off and we were all told to evacuate. For reasons I don't know, we didn't. Everyone else left the building but me, my dad, my youngest, one other wedding party and a dog. (!) The building was raided by armed police on carts and they took our phones away before herding us to some large country estate out in the middle of nowhere. It was a bit like Marie Antoinette's fake village but they weren't peasant houses, they were all quite grand if dilapidated. We were bunking with the wedding party and they decided to go ahead with the speeches, some of which were really long and in some kind of ancient language that the woman had written on airmail paper in runes. My dad kept getting calls on his phone (Yes I know. They took our phones. It's a dream. It doesn't have to make sense) so he went outside and took the baby. I became aware that the walls were crawling with bugs and couldn't stand to be there any longer so I also walked out but then became aware of the enormity of this place and the impossibility of finding my dad so I sat down and cried.

Went out with my cricket pals, others joined the party including James Anderson. We left a venue and some of us including James needed cash so we went to a cashpoint. He put his card in and didn't even press any buttons and money cashcaded (sorry!) out. I went and just used my shop loyalty card and again money flowed out like water. I had my man bag with me and it filled up. I dropped my card in the bag and while trying to find it all I could find were pieces of paper which turned out to be bank statements, tax notifications etc., no card and no cash. I thought the police were going to arrest me as we were surrounded, I shouted I'll give the money back, as soon as I find it. Then I woke up

I very rarely remember dreams but this morning I did.
I was training to be a doctor and was being quizzed by the prof. I was getting everything wrong and for each wrong answer he shouted WRONG. Then, for each wrong answer, I coughed and sprayed him with peas.
