I have very vivid dreams, which often end in me performing some sort of action, e.g.,kicking a ball. However the sinister or amusing side to this is that I either end giving Mrs S a kick or a punch, or I end up falling out of bed. Apparently it is believed by some that this is indicative of neurological illness as during REM sleep the body is "paralysed" but those who flail and wail are afflicted with the potential to become very ill.

In a way it's lucky that it's mainly sports type events that get me started, otherwise I don't know how things might turn outšÆ

We'd have to hope that he doesn't just happen to have a chainsaw next to the bed!

I was on a panel show with Josh Widdicombe rifling through my wardrobe looking for a particular shirt, singing Donāt Pay The Ferryman while confidently talking about an obscure Italian racing car which looked like a salad spinner on wheels. In the dream it was one I knew Iād dreamed about before and I googled it so everyone could see a picture. All the panellists were showing how they would vote in the upcoming election by holding up coloured objects to reflect their political leanings. Josh held up some bits of wood but heād also dyed his hair a very pale blue. I remember thinking the most surprising people were Tories. When it was my turn I couldnāt think of an object to hold up so everyone started making jokes about rabbits.
I like reading your dream descriptions, Kath. They act as a kind of 'licence' to regard any odd dream that I've ever had, as really quite sane!

I've only remembered one dream, a morpheine induced nightmare 6 years ago. I was in a cave and people were throwing angry bullfighting bulls down on me. It was a proper 'night terror' and so terrifying that I never had anymore morpheine during my month in hospital.

It was a proper 'night terror' and so terrifying that I never had anymore morpheine during my month in hospital. Horrid stuff! I remember having 6 injections of the stuff over a 24 hour period and was violently sick each time till I conked out. Years later, after a minor op, a nurse came to my bed and injected me without any explanation. I told her I didn't want morpheine and she said it's OK, its's the modern equivalent. Violently sick again, I crawled to a phone, got my husband to pick me up (nearly literally), get my clothes from the locker, dress me and take me home. Got some very suspicious looks in the lift on the way down. No-one stopped us. Got a call the next day from a worried ward sister, got told off! Didn't care.

Jeeze, you'd think you'd be consulted first! Have to say, after my third (and last) c/section I was given morphine in some kind of self-administering contraption. I was only sorry I couldn't take it home with me!

I'm pretty sure this one was in the time between alarms this morning as it was still very fresh in my mind. Can't recall any from earlier in the night.

I had a weird dream the other night. I swore I would remember the actor's name, but I didn't. Suffice to say he was a bit like Sean Connery only taller and younger. Very handsome. Anyway, I was a spy. I was out on the street browsing shop windows as I followed someone, when this actor came up to me full of surprise and chatting as if he knew me. As we wandered off, he said he did know who I was and what I was doing and I could report my findings to him over a coffee. So we smiled and chatted as we walked off. Then I woke up.

I vaguely recall telling Rishi Sunak what a useless toerag he was. How the dream got to that point is anyone's guess, as I've no recollection.

That sounds more like current reality than a dream.
