I have just been informed that my pension from the miserable time between being sold to GEC and being made redundant by the complete and utter barstewards has gone up by nearly £90...per year. We did not get on.

Well, Willie..... as we were reminded this week: we have to accept that we're going to be worse off. (unless, that is, you happen to be earning 190k working for the Bank of England - or in some other similarly comfortable sinecure.  ) |

7-3-13-4 and two catches. Equal fourth best ever bowling figures, and I haven't taken two catches in a match since, well... YEARS ago! We won by 80-odd runs, so a splendid day all round.
I started with a maiden, then two consecutive double-wicket maidens! First time I've ever done that. Now heading home on a soothing cushion of Brakspear.

I started with a maiden, then two consecutive double-wicket maidens! First time I've ever done that. Now heading home on a soothing cushion of Brakspear. It was still a good warm-up for the Under 7s, despite their loss. |
