Happy to find out I can get stickers for the rubbed out letters on my keyboard. Thought I might need a new keyboard.

Happy to find out I can get stickers for the rubbed out letters on my keyboard. Thought I might need a new keyboard. In hindsight, I wish I had had the foresight, to pick up an armful of IBM keyboards from work back in the day. They had rooms full of "spares" because every computer replacement shipped with a new keyboard and mouse. The keyboards were very, very, well built and far outlasted their attached hardware. Ditto the "mice".

Actually, you've just reminded me I think I have a keyboard lurking somewhere! Must go and look. Thanks!

Nope, can't find that other keyboard. Drat! Look on the bright side. The printed letters don't all disappear at once. Over the years one learns the keyboard letter by letter as they fade even if one is not a touch typist. Everyone seems to know the top line because the layout is often referred to as 'qwertyuiop'.

If I'm honest, I've never really liked it, I much prefer the wireless one I use on my main machine - too much key travel for me other old one. But the keyboard feel is very much part of the experience that I keep that old machine for. Well, that and insanity, of course.

Been a while since I used one but I can see see the appeal of clicky keyboards. Mice with balls though....surely nobody misses those?

Well the Microsoft mouse I use with that machine is lovely - when the ball is clean... cleaning the rollers, what fun...

Ah well. Because I didn't want to be limited by region (I positively cringe at BBC Scotland etc) I have ended up with a SKY+HD box instead. One is happy. First thing I had to do was alter the resolution (contrast brightness etc)). Next I have turned off the auto standby mode. Raised the volume. and that's it so far. Ha!

Mum's old OM10 has just made 26 quid (minus whatever extortionate fees ebay is charging this week) for the Essex Air Ambulance. Not bad given that I described and illustrated its flaws.
Why am I selling? I've got two and a parts one already. Three and a half would be greedy (says the man whose just bought two more box cameras).

We had something on Ebay for sale (first time in a long time). It was on a buy it now for £150. It cost us £20.50 to sell the item. As they are no longer affiliated to PayPal, the money is paid by the buyer to e Bay and then into the sellers bank account. This was sold last week and EBay are holding our payment until 21/3.

Had to laugh. BBC on FB. Man finds big ugly diamond in US park. He described it as the size of an English pea.
Must admit I wasn't aware USA peas were a different size. Probably bigger, I suppose. Ha!
