I had a chest CT scan tonight. They rang me this morning to arrange. Big up to the NHS I am waiting for one to follow on from one I already had (sort of I had one but they thought I'd need another one but weren't sure so I am not sure if the reason I haven't got an appointment for the follow up scan is because I don't need one or because they haven't got round to booking it !) so that gives me hope thanks! |

Only referred on Thursday morning (that's when the GP told me that's what she was doing) Are you even remotely claustrophobic? If you are, you may find it better to have a CT scan.
The only time I've been really [literally] screaming terrified was when I looked up and saw the top of the chamber 50mm from my eyes. Amazing how quickly the staff can drag you out.

I'm going to warn them that I will probably fall asleep...I did so when they were putting my ICD in...I suppose it's some form of coping mechanism |
