Going back down stairs was easier than going upstairs if involving a bit of a Hopalong Cassiday impersonation. While a largely wasted trip for me I was probably lucky it came on while we were staying in a caravan

I come downstairs backwards, hanging on to the banister. Seems less traumatic on the knees and feet. One of the joys of a ground floor flat - no stairs, even when I was more mobile I used the lift.

Last night I did my frequent 300 mile drive and I have nothing to complain about!!
Weather bad but cleared up. No other driver did anything stupid. No misleading over head signs. SatNav routed me very nicely around the single hold up and landed me at my Sister's a little before schedule. The second half of the journey was set the cruise control, point the car and try not to fall asleep!
Tucked up safely by 1.30 am.
If only all my trips were as easy!

Mick If my journeys of that distance were as good as that I'd definitely be asleep, at home in bed, dreaming!

Attended a rather dull seminar this afternoon, but boy oh boy did the room have a good view. Possibly the best view in all Edinburgh.

A new science series on the Beeb starting on Monday. OK so it's Brian Cox, but there's so little science on TV on any channel that I'll take what I can. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0023884

One of the feral kittens [Haydn] is at last taking treats from my hand. The other, Spot, is still to wary by getting a little better.

A letter from my pension provider.
Headline: "Good news we owe you money" Body: about 8 pages telling me why they have been underpaying me for the last 20odd years. Some of it pretty technical. Getting excited now. Conclusion. We owe you £17.05.
