Does getting a referral to cardiology count? GP appointment revolved around 24 hour tape which was "inconclusive"...the outcome is a referral to cardiology and a request for a longer tape. As I've only seen a cardiologist a couple of times since heart attack in 2009 it could be a blue moon event... The doctor who saw me yesterday was young, keen and doing his best to be empathetic, whilst trying to do the maximum amount of tests on me, possible. Since they let on that the heart trace was fine, I declined the offer and signed the paperwork for release.

I just want to know...I may be a freak of nature (stop sniggering at the back)or there may be an underlying issue

How do you feel? If you’re feeling sick go back if you’re feeling okay carry on and put it down to one of life’s rich experiences

I am fully aware what's wrong with my brain...

I think you may be confusing me with Kate...she didn't want the tests but I'm trying to find out what the problem is with my heart. I am fully aware what's wrong with my brain... Why would I want the test when I know I would do nothing about any result? Not worth the bother and waste of time.

Hmm - Lords and Ladies - Terry Pratchett. Correct - in that book it mentions a stone giant carved into a hillside that according to Nanny Ogg (forgive me for paraphrasing this I haven't got the book handy) as the witches fly over it is the King of the Elves way of saying "I've got a really big tonker"

Made it back up the road without incident or pain and got out of the car with very little difficulty at the end - getting out of it is more difficult than getting in. Monday I could not get into the car. Yesterday we went to Castle Douglas (closer than Barnard Castle) and that went OK. Knee is still tender but its on the mend though how it will react to our stairs I know not.
