Just as I put my shoes on to go out for my daily exercise I pulled AP from its wrapper. The cover advertises an article "Better together - The benefits of online communities". Reading it will have to wait - so the cheerful benefit is the anticipation of what, if anything, it says about AP forum  . Made me smile anyway. |

I’m going home tomorrow! I have been on respite care for two weeks in a care home in Ashford brabournecarecentre.co.uk/Heather has been unwell (flu) and couldn’t look after me so two weeks here but an ambulance is coming tomorrow to take me home. Yippee. It’s been okay but it ain’t home 🏡 Don |

The banking industry may be moving into the 21st century! I wanted to do a bit of comestible shopping, but realizing that this would leave a fairly small amount in my local account, just before I left I logged onto my UK bank to make a transfer. Before Covid-19 it would take two to three days, or one day if you gave them a twenty quid bung. During C-19 it could be done in 24hrs without the bung. Then it became same day with no charge but would take most of the day, and you had to have your request in by start of play to be sure of success.
I made the transfer, jumped on Bikey McBikeface and went the six kilometers to my favourite valley shop. When dismounting, my 'phone beeped for a text - the transfer had hit my local bank! Ten freakin' minutes? Colour me impressed - well, I would be if the FX rate wasn't such a travesty, courtesy of Truss.

You may get a better rate. |
