Well I start my new job tomorrow- it's on the Imperial staff bank so it's only until sometime in May after which they may find me something else but after the year so far the thought of a couple of months steady work is a delightful one

No need to be like that - it's not an English team, you know!

Just browsing the West Yorkshire Cameras site, and noticed that the options for accepting cookies are "OK" or "Bugger off". Makes me proud to be a Yorkshireman.

Having said that, I've had dealings with them on several occasions over the past few years, and had very good transactions. I can readily accept eccentricity, when the service is good.

Very good in principle (or principal, whichever may be correct). Some people are never satisfied and I'm one of them. Sycamore isn't native to Britain.

I quickly scanned the referenced site and I did not see anything which intimated in any way they were planning on planting sycamores. Or did I miss something?

If any of you are somewhat intrigued by that strange viewfinder the Voigtlander Kontur 24x36 Viewfinder owned by Adrian, and you want one for yourself, then West Yorkshire Cameras have two to choose from.

"Under the restoration programme, the non-native conifer plantation, which currently covers around a third of the woodland and does not support much wildlife, will be replaced with a mix of native broadleaf trees such as oak, sycamore and rowan. " Not a big deal. I was being picky. I certainly support the project. I also expect that the inclusion of sycamore to have received much discussion within the group; I'd let it in, in small quantities.

In UK environmental terms my understanding is sycamores are weeds.
