Colchicine! The autumn crocus produces this extract and it's the only thing that's appeared to help deal with my gout... (Though oramorph and two paracetamol made me not care...) Isn't colchlcine ever so slightly terminal after a few doses? S

In the sense that you (probably) mean it's a county. Same as are Devon, Surrey, Lancashire etc.
Or are you playing games?
Mick
I simply meant that I could not point to the place on a map but as it is unlikely to affect me in any way this does not bother me. I'm shocked. There's quite a clue in the name. Midlands - the middle of the country. West - a bit west of the middle.
Then I assume that you could point to Birmingham. Some would say the heart of the West Midlands.

Not with any degree of accuracy nor have I any idea why you imagine I might want to.

Sadly career minded Ben Bradley did not become East Midlands Mayor. No commas used in that last sentence deliberately. Politics should NOT be a career option.

Just saw Braverman spouting to Keunsberg on TV. Where has she been if she thinks that Sunak and his policies are the cause of the Tory problems. Has she forgotten that they elected leaders who: 1. Effectively caused Brexit 2. Couldn't implement Brexit because of infighting. 3. Was an out-and-out liar 4. Trashed the economy 5. Thinks that sending a few people to Rwanda is the solution. Doesn't she see that she and her ilk are part of the problem? The lack of awareness of politicians is breathtaking. Mick She’s right that the PM should “own” the problem, in doing so they should accept that they are part of the problem. If they don’t learn from their mistakes they will continue to repeat them.

Saw Braverman briefly on the news pontificating that the tories need to move to the right. I am not saying that leftists and centrists are never stupid but there does seem to be a form of stupidity unique to right wingers. When their party moves to the right and gets rejected by voters they are convinced that the solution is that they must move further to the right.

Isn't colchlcine ever so slightly terminal after a few doses? S It's not quite a wonder drug and of course care should be taken. I didn't realise it was useful for Atrial Fibrillation amongst other things.

[/quote] Wouldn't that get you something like Carlisle on the map?

Or possibly Crieff if I were being as parochial as Mick.

Apologies to all, and particularly to Martin, for being crabby last night. Dealing with pensions stuff is frustrating and stressfull even without tight deadlines which might have been corporate incompitence or might have been deliberate and it got the better of me. Hopefully I have reverted to my normal only mildly offensive self.

Just sold Julie's car without having to deal with too many halfwits and fucktards that infest Facebook Marketplace.
