Mr Kath follows strictly in that he watches something else completely on the computer while I'm watching Strictly, wearing his headphones on just one ear so that he can hear me ranting at the telly. He asked me to pause for a second and asked me why people had been making fun of the way she speaks. He couldn't hear anything wrong with the way she speaks. So we discussed the fact that she was deaf and wears a cochlear implant and how speech develops in a slightly different way for a non-hearing person and then he said again, 'Okay, fine, so she effectively has an 'accent'. Why are people being horrible about it?' Because they're twats. Edit: lowlife twats. |

I was really shocked (On Sunday morning ahead of watching it) to see who were in the bottom two. Very disappointing, particularly when there were others who simply did not dance as well as either of those in the dance off. But then the voting public has never been particularly interested in whether or not folk can dance.

Of course nobody has an accent on the internet so we can’t determine whether those being “horrible” about Tasha have one. Undoubtedly they do and would get very upset if someone else made fun of it. |

Give Tasha the trophy now. Lots of nice and competent dances tonight, but her American Smooth was on a completely different level to anything else. The dance off will be interesting as Chris, and Pete have tremendous public support. If Pete is in the dance off, the judges will save the other couple.
