Just seen Don's letter in this week's AP. I’ve just been to look at my letter I’d missed it not expecting it to be published for weeks. I stand by smartphones. The younger generations have taken more selfies etc than they ever would have done with a proper camera. And people take photos of landscapes etc ie proper photos with their phones. Most professional photographers use the as well.The phone is an extension of their hands and they share their memories image’s photos call them what you like on social media immediately for the world to see. They smartphone is not a replacement for a camera but a different camera. |

Just looked it up and the Ultra is the one to have and with that discount it seems like good value. When you consider it is basically a computer sitting in your pocket 🙄 and with 16gig of RAM and 512gig of memory it’s way bigger than many desktop computers and it has a Leica camera and it’s also a phone 📱 |

I have just received my Xiaomi 14 Ultra after the first delivery was of an empty box 🤬. After spending a stupid amount of time on the phone to customer service I had a repeat delivery.
I've been setting it up but accessing the forum from my old phone until I have set up a shortcut from Chrome.

Phones are wonderful things and so far removed from the early camera phones. The technology sat in your pocket is mind blowing and when you think about it as kids these were the things of dreams, Dan Dare never had such things and he was a make believe space traveling rocket ship captain. Many people are making films with their phones the technology is so good that they are capable of making films that are broadcast quality.
