On the basis that "hut" implies a residential capacity, as distinct from "shed" which doesn't, the closest I can think of is this. Shown before, May 2019. DSCF2547.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

Most of the local beach huts have bylaws that specifically prevent overnight stays. I feel many of the 'houses' at Jaywick are little more than huts even if they are brick None of my hut images have made it to flickr.

I believe this is officially a beach hut (one where overnight stays are allowed) I'd be inclined to class it more as a chalet, but further along they did get grander still.

I must admit that I hadn't thought of beach huts as huts. I was thinking more of shepherd's huts of old that would be used seasonally for living.

I was thinking a small structure, possibly temporary to provide shelter for people, live stock or goods. As ever open interpretation is the name of the game as such go for the sheds and bothies as you see fit.

How about something that was built as a shelter, but is now used for something else? As it backs onto the Conservative club, possibly something nefarious? Yesterday evening my neighbour sent me a text asking if I had an Amazon delivery for him. I told him it was in my porch. It is still there this morning. We are always getting each others deliveries. Not for me by Nigel G, on Flickr
