I tried to combine these using adobe focus stacking instructions but they are too different and cannot be aligned. In an idle moment, I tinkered with these, and found that they could, FWIW, be aligned manually (sort of!). Having done this, I can understand how an automated alignment process would have had difficulty merging them. It did also involve quite heavy cropping down, in order to make it work at all.  |

Well done! I am used to the panorama merge which can [automatically] cope with mismatch in focal length but I'd never tried a focus merge! |

It is 24.5 indoors or that is what my thermometer told me when I processed a film this morning, and about 30deg. on the outdoors thermometer in the shade. |
