Even when taking this, I knew it was a cliché shot but had to do it anyway. Ganges Sunrise by Nigel G, on Flickr Were you tempted to edit out the pylons and power lines? Or add Godzilla destroying them? There always appeared to be a scene like that in the old Japanese films.

A Jack Simpson cliche (type) snap ...... since moving to Penticton, BC .......... Cheers, Jack .. . . View AttachmentWhat prompted the move? My brother has a step-son in Vernon, not too far from you. The step son originally went to tour Canada (from the UK) after graduating and loved the country so much he has settled there.... and now has a Canadian partner and two kids. Anyway - back to cliche shots... Stonehenge at the summer solstice springs to mind, and the tree-in-the-gap even if it's now been vandalised and cut down

Cheers, Jack

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear that. My mum is also 91 but needs a full-time live-in carer to get by (sadly having to be funded from my late father's investments and savings). Do you think you wil be able to make the Oxford meet-up?

Beach huts with no people, difficult to do different even if you have taken to hiding behind them.

Sorry to be so late in replying, Chris, and, sadly, I don't think I'll be able to make it to the Oxford meet up ... but when it is supposed to be taking place? If it's in the autumn/winter, a definite maybe, but, spring is definitely out and, as for summertime, well, that would be like winning two lottery's in successive weeks Cheers, Jack

It's not a Sunset - it's a portrait of 4 gulls .
