Visited a local CC a few weeks back. They were giving a presentation of previous award winning shots. Prior to going I hadn’t been to a CC for over 30yrs
We haven’t moved on have we?? Same old shots but taken with newer tech
I almost burst out laughing.
So, for a bit of a laugh let’s all list a shot (just one) that has been done to death, but still appears as regular as clockwork.
The Lone Tree

Wrinkly local residents without teeth
(I know but I hate having my photo taken)

This would be much more fun if we all posted our most cliche shots.

This would be much more fun if we all posted our most cliche shots. Took me ages to figure out what a lone tree might be doing at a Cricket Club and I took shots to mean strokes. Here is a tree. It would be alone if it wasn't for the boulder, which would be alone if it wasn't for the tree. DSCF1199.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

Dead common if not cliché. Pushing a Canon G10 shot through LR denoise. Image from March 2010. Presumably taken from Hungerford Bridge. IMG_0037-Enhanced-NR.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

Sunsets, bloomin sunset really make me cringe. How about a single image that includes a sunset, a lone tree and a rainbow? Sadly the farmer that owns this field beside our house cut down the tree soon afterwards because he feared it would fall into the lane.

That's the one! I thought I had taken one like that but it must be on film.
