Isn't it written into your "person specification"? I am sure implying grumpy, ginger piss artist impinges my human rights to not be made a cliche. Human rights...PMSL

Having admitted to Xmas pud and mince pies, perhaps I should add that I also have a bottle of advocaat to enhance my enjoyment of them by pouring a sufficient quantity over them.

Makes a change saying you got the Cockburn from under the stairs rather than a toilet seat I guess. When I was student I had a holiday job in a frozen meat packing warehouse. A young lad called Cockburn was right on his high horse sounding off about admin misspelling his name. "It's Cock burn" he declaimed. The place dissolved in laughter when I asked him "Is that a fancy name for the clap"? I admit that I would have LOL (Have I got that right?) as a teenager. I also have port from that producer, complete with post it notes Do not open before dates. I previously did not mention them because certain members would find the name humorous for the wrong reasons. I also have a bottle of Taylor's. I defy even our bell ringer to make a joke about that. Given that Willien mentioned the clap and bells have clappers and another Taylor's make bells ...

Just been to a friends for a pre-Xmas dinner he has his parents staying over Xmas and promised to cook the festive dinner so wanted to do a dummy run. Not bad but too many mince pies were consumed

Not had a mince pie 🥧 yet maybe I can get to the end of the Festivities 🥳 and manage to avoid them altogether. I love them but the indigestion ain’t high on my list of needs for Santa 🎅 to give me. Ho Ho Ho

I tried to get these Samaritan posters on one post but failed 😞 talking about mental health issues is definitely a big help and if you know someone you think could be in need don’t think about you may never get another chance to talk
sorry to put a downer on here but we all need to be aware.!!!

Don't be sorry Don. For all the silliness we have on the Forum I'm sure we all know someone who finds this time of year a real struggle for whatever reason. Talk to someone, anyone.

Our charity this year (rather than Christmas cards etc) was to CALM. For similar (and obvious reasons).

When many other people are apparently having lots of festive fun, spending lots of money they probably cannot afford on rubbish that they don't need, and the media go Santa crazy, I'm not surprised that some of the people missing out may feel suicidal. I would not be a good Samaritan person because I would explain that what they are missing out on is mostly trivial and pointless. Perhaps what the really need is somebody to talk to about anything apart from Christmas. Would this make them feel any better, or at least not quite so bad?
