White outside. Wonderful (not) when I have to go out later. Got up this morning in bright sunshine, and figured I would do some fruit and veg shopping by scooter around midday. Not a chance - I have now joined your club - I am being deafened by a thunderous hail storm pounding on my study roof. |

A couple of hours ago it was sunny, light winds and I put the washing out. Now it’s cold, windy and wet.
Some sleet in the forecast for tomorrow, and the rest of the week is cold and damp.

We actually have rain forecast for this afternoon, seems like over a month since we last had any, even more unusual, tomorrow and Tuesday we can also expect sleet!

It's certainly been cold here and there's snow forecast but if it arrives or not remains to be seen. Down south there's a belief that mearest hint of snow is the coming of the next ice age

Here in said South, currently light but icy rain for my cycle home. Driving the next two days (early start tomoz and giving blood Wednesday), hoping that everyone decides to work from home when that first doom-laden snowflake falls.

A bit of slushy stuff on the ground this morning, though the Berkshire downs (highest point 899 feet, very mountainous) were pretty white. Surprising how often they get snow when the vale is clear.

Bright overcast with rain showers here. Even if it does snow we rarely get it. Coming from the west it dumps on the Mendip hills, the north it dumps on the Marlborough downs and from the east the Hampshire downs cop it.

Rain off-and-on today, and cold. Went out to the car just before 8:00pm and there was already frost on the windows and roofs of the cars parked in the road, and it felt bitterly cold. Came indoors and checked the forecast which warned of up to 7.5cm of snow overnight, just as I was hoping it was going to warm up.....
