I'm just going to buy some wedges of commercial blue cheese to go with the crackers, port and whisky that we have when our son is staying with us.

We would have had something very similar, but I somehow sent my order to my father-in-law. Oh well, Costco raid on Friday.

Sadly òut here all cheese tends to be Greek, but I can find a decent Irish cheddar. No more Somerset cheddar due to Brexit! That, and stilton, perhaps also some camembert if I can find a decent one, does me. I can at least get original Jacob's cream crackers.

Caprice des Dieux, only because it's still on offer at Sainsbury's. I'd prefer a nice piece of Brie but the price has all but doubled since the "cost of living crisis" started earlier this year

Camembert, Brie, Wensleydale, cheddar with garlic, cheddar with garden herbs and garlic. smoked cheddar, extra strong cheddar and red Leicester Yes I am something of a cheese addict I love Brie, but even if I just look at it I can feel my arteries hardening with that 75% butterfat! Camembert is bad enough at 50%.

I love your selection of Cheddars - best cheese in the world for me. I too have a few Cheddars and I've added a bit of Emmental and Blue Stilton.

Mine will be a similar selection from Tesco, we actually discussed it just prior to logging on here and reading this. Obviously it’s a topic many people will be thinking about.

It is such a shame that The Cheshire Cheese Company, who are local to me as it happens, had to sell to another company because Brexit completely f*cked up their exports. When they fist highlighted it, a govt dept suggested they open a warehouse/premises in Europe to make it easier! (It appears that the swear filter doesn't block the swear word I used. I came back in to add the *) Handbag is still blocked though.

To be fair Nige, it was probably a harrassed Civil Servant rather than the Government who offered any sort of work around.
