Crop into one of my first determined go at  'dragon' pics yesterday.  I know from the pictures of others [other people] that there is a lot to see but it is always a surprise to see it yourself

4 spotted chaser - 100% view - definitely textures here.

While I am stuck on the idea of blowing pictures up far beyond their intended size and before someone shows me up by posting a properly sharp macro shot - another 100% crop of a view from a distance.

This is a crop from the only picture I can remember taking that had texture as a deliberate element.  The picture [of leaves on a cut hedge] didn't work at all.
