Just been listening to Crime of the Century (Supertramp)..... for the first time in a long while. How flippin' good is that album? [if you don't know (and you're of a certain vintage), then do yourself a favour, and listen to it. ]Yes, you’re Bloody Well Right!

(I think that was the B-side of Dreamer).

I can see why you'd need to be totally hammered to listen to Pink Floyd

I can see why you'd need to be totally hammered to listen to Pink Floyd In theory I should love Pink Floyd but on the few times I've tried I just can't hack it. Too sober probably.

I can see why you'd need to be totally hammered to listen to Pink Floyd I've never found it remotely necessary, though there is a huge range of styles in their offerings - I find 'Several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave & grooving with a Pict' can almost bring on a mild trip on it's own!

The album that has the same effect for me is Dark Side of the Moon for similar reasons, again from around 40 years ago. I had a friend at college who had a great house. They had a pool and a sauna and we used to go there, swim in the pool, have a sauna, have a few beers, smoke some weed and listen to that album, lol. Can remember being totally wasted and being woken up by Time! That album too, Nige! In fact, now I think about it, in those days most albums were involved in getting a bit wrecked.

At least for songs that came out in 2022 I rather like this one, 'Hero Man' by PVA

A CD called "Lady Sings the Blues". Bought for a dollar in Thailand some years ago. A compilation of, obviously, female artists (all "big names") singing blues numbers. It's long been very close to my number 1 !!

This afternoon's milking will be accompanied by something on the BBC sounds app. Same will go for tomorrow. The last thing anyone who is working Christmas day wants is a load of Christmas records.

Possibly somewhat of an anomaly, a New Orleans street band, all white players including two girls, evidently quite popular in they're own field, they've also toured Europe

Only discovered Sigor Ros in the last couple of years but very impressed. Apart from that, got a scottish tv channel music from the sixties on. Highlight so far, Eric Burden and the Animals - House of the Rising Sun. At 10 years old I had never heard anything remotely like it. Currently playing, The Stones - This is the Evening of the Day.

I find myself listening to Radio 3 when I turn in. Light off, radio on low and playing something interesting that I haven't heard before.

Ágætis byrjun is one of the few albums that I consider to be perfect. Love it, and only listen to it as an album, in order.
